Licensing & Intellectual Property
Information on licensing, intellectual property and authorised use of Bigmedia24 Dynamics Ltd. software, platforms, content and trademarks, including client and partner usage rights and third-party components.
This Licensing & Intellectual Property page explains how Bigmedia24 Dynamics Ltd. (“Bigmedia24”, “we”, “us”, “our”) manages licensing for:
– our software platforms and APIs
– client and partner access to our services
– use of content, trademarks and branding
– third-party and open-source components
It complements our Terms of Use & Booking Conditions (/terms/), API Terms (/api-terms/), Privacy Policy (/privacy-policy/) and Data Protection & Security information (/data-protection/).
Important note: This page provides a high-level overview and does not replace individual contracts or professional legal advice. Specific licensing and usage rights are always defined in your written agreement with Bigmedia24 and, where relevant, in product-specific terms.
1. Purpose & Scope
The purpose of this page is to:
– outline how Bigmedia24 grants and manages licences to use our platforms, tools and content
– clarify the difference between intellectual property ownership and licence-based usage rights
– summarise how third-party and open-source components are handled within our solutions
This page applies to:
– hotels, property owners and managers using Bigmedia24 platforms
– OTAs, travel brands, white-label partners and affiliates
– technology partners and API clients
– other business users of our services
For travellers and guests booking via our portals, the main reference remains our Terms of Use & Booking Conditions (/terms/).
2. Ownership of Bigmedia24 Platforms & Software
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing:
– all software, platforms, APIs, integration layers, tools and interfaces provided by Bigmedia24 remain the exclusive property of Bigmedia24 Dynamics Ltd. or its licensors
– this includes source code, compiled code, database structures, design elements, workflows and proprietary configurations
– no transfer of ownership or assignment of intellectual property rights occurs solely by entering into a service contract or partner agreement with Bigmedia24
Clients and partners receive licence-based usage rights as described in Section 3 and in their individual agreements, not ownership of the underlying technology.
3. Licence to Use Bigmedia24 Services (Clients & Partners)
Subject to the applicable contract and timely payment of any agreed fees, Bigmedia24 grants hotels, property owners, OTAs, affiliates and other partners a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to:
– access and use Bigmedia24’s platforms, dashboards and tools for their own business purposes
– use our booking and distribution technology to list properties, manage inventory and receive bookings
– integrate Bigmedia24 APIs and services into their own systems or white-label sites as agreed
This licence:
– is restricted to the scope, term and territories defined in the contract
– does not permit resale, sublicensing or providing our platform as a standalone service to third parties, unless explicitly agreed in writing
– may be revoked or suspended if the client or partner materially breaches the agreement, including our Terms of Use, API Terms, data protection obligations or payment terms
4. White-Label & OTA Licensing
For white-label and OTA partners, Bigmedia24 may provide:
– branded or co-branded booking websites, portals and user interfaces
– deep integrations via APIs and middleware for availability, rates and content
– ongoing technical and infrastructure services
In these models:
– Bigmedia24 licenses the underlying technology and infrastructure to the partner
– the partner may receive rights to use specific front-end designs, templates or components for the duration of the agreement
– the partner remains responsible for their own brand(s), marketing materials and regulatory obligations, unless separately agreed
Specific licensing terms (including rights to custom developments, design work or additional modules) are defined in the relevant white-label or OTA agreement. In case of conflict, those written terms take precedence over this general overview.
5. Use of Bigmedia24 Trademarks, Logos & Branding
“Bigmedia24”, “Bigmedia24 Dynamics Ltd.”, related logos and visual identities are trademarks or registered marks of Bigmedia24 Dynamics Ltd. or its group.
Unless expressly authorised in writing:
– you may not use the Bigmedia24 name, logo or other branding elements in a way that suggests you are part of Bigmedia24 or acting on our behalf
– you may not modify or create derivative versions of our logos or brand elements
– you may not register domain names, social media profiles or accounts incorporating our trademarks in a confusing or misleading way
Where a partner agreement explicitly allows co-branding or the use of our logo (for example “Powered by Bigmedia24” badges), such use must:
– follow any brand guidelines provided by Bigmedia24
– be limited to the agreed channels, websites or materials
– cease promptly if the agreement ends or if Bigmedia24 requests adjustments for brand protection reasons
6. Licensing of Property & Partner Content to Bigmedia24
Properties, OTAs and partners often provide content such as:
– property descriptions, room and facility texts
– images, logos and media assets
– pricing, policies and availability data
By submitting such content to Bigmedia24 or by connecting systems that provide it, you:
– confirm that you have the necessary rights or permissions to use and share this content
– grant Bigmedia24 a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence (for the term of our agreement) to use, reproduce, adapt, translate and display this content on our platforms, tools and authorised partner sites
– permit us to use this content for distribution, marketing and platform optimisation, to the extent agreed in our contract and in line with applicable law
This licence is limited to the purposes of:
– operating and improving Bigmedia24 platforms
– promoting and distributing the relevant properties and services
– fulfilling contractual and legal obligations
Upon termination of the agreement, Bigmedia24 will cease using such content in active distribution, subject to technical, legal and cache-related limitations. Historical or backup copies may persist for a limited period as part of normal archival processes.
7. Third-Party & Open-Source Components
Bigmedia24 platforms may incorporate third-party and open-source components, for example:
– operating systems, web servers and databases
– libraries, frameworks and SDKs
– analytics, monitoring and security tools
– integrations with external systems such as channel managers and payment providers
Where required, such components are used in accordance with their respective licences (for example commercial licences, MIT, Apache, GPL or similar open-source terms).
Clients and partners do not receive separate ownership of these third-party components, but may rely on them as part of the overall service provided by Bigmedia24.
If we are obliged to provide specific open-source licence texts, notices or attributions, these may be made available:
– within the relevant application or interface
– in technical documentation or developer portals
– on request via our support channels
Nothing in Bigmedia24’s agreements is intended to limit rights granted by mandatory open-source licences for components we lawfully include.
8. Regulatory & Industry Licensing
Bigmedia24 Dynamics Ltd. is an Irish technology and platform company. Depending on jurisdiction and business model, certain activities in the travel sector may require:
– registrations or notifications with local authorities
– specific licences for operating as an agency, intermediary or organiser
– membership in relevant industry bodies or compliance with sector codes
Our focus is on providing technology, distribution and platform services. Where local rules require specific registrations or licences for a particular product, market or distribution model, we aim to ensure that the relevant legal requirements are met.
For B2B partners with specific regulatory or compliance questions (for example OTAs, white-label partners or corporate clients), licensing and regulatory responsibilities will be addressed in the individual contract and, where appropriate, clarified in writing upon request.
This page is not a substitute for professional legal advice and is not intended to be a complete list of all regulatory frameworks that may apply in the jurisdictions in which our partners operate.
9. Restrictions & Misuse of Licences
Any licence granted by Bigmedia24 is subject to compliance with:
– these Licensing & Intellectual Property terms
– our Terms of Use & Booking Conditions (/terms/)
– our API Terms (/api-terms/), where applicable
– any specific contract or partner agreement you have with us
You must not:
– use our platforms or licences to build a competing core platform replicating Bigmedia24’s primary business
– circumvent technical protection measures, rate limits or access controls
– resell or sublicense Bigmedia24 services in a way that is not expressly permitted by contract
– misrepresent your relationship with Bigmedia24 to customers, partners or authorities
Bigmedia24 reserves the right to suspend or terminate licences and access to services if we detect misuse, breach of contract or illegal activities, without prejudice to any additional rights or remedies we may have under law or contract.
